The Hot Springs Artists Society provides a variety of resources for the various types of art endeavors such as:

RESOURCES FOR PERFORMING ARTISTS

For the Performing Artists, the talented performers can schedule a date to perform at the Symes Hot Springs Hotel. To do so, the musician should telephone the Symes Hot Springs Hotel at 406-741-2361, and request to be scheduled on the performing events calendar at a future available date.

Education:

For children, a Children’s Summer Arts Camp is scheduled in July/August each year. Subjects include the performing arts.

Some individual music lessons are available through teachers living in the area.

RESOURCES FOR VISUAL ARTISTS


A. Education:

For children, a Children’s Summer Arts Camp is scheduled in July/August each year. Subjects include the visual arts.
Kristel Lacy McKenna teaches visual arts, painting, in six week intervals scheduled for a once-a-week class during two times of the year: autumn season and spring season. Occasionally, we have teaching artists scheduled in Hot Springs for one day of teaching to students.

B. Visual artists’ display and sale opportunities:

Once each year the Hot Springs Artists Society
On The Wall Gallery space can be scheduled with wall space for a featured artist to display art for a number of weeks by contacting Hot Springs Artists Society to schedule a date for displaying art. For small-sized works of art, then the Hot Springs Artists Society can display them in a display case at Wall Street Place located at Wall Street and Main Street in Hot Springs. C. Arts competitions:

once each year there is scheduled a Juried Art Show;
once each year there is scheduled a Juried Photography Show;
once each year there is scheduled a Juried Craft Show.

Artists should look for the announcements and the entry forms in separate sections of the website as each opportunity becomes available throughout the year.

RESOURCES FOR LITERARY ART


Published book writers are offered display and sale opportunities by having their books on display in a window display case and for sale at Wall Street Place.

Also, book authors can be scheduled for an event of a book reading and a book signing by contacting Hot Springs Artists Society.
